Affordance / Constraint

This project focused on the process of controlling meaning through form. Through a series of exercises, I explored different ways to express complex concepts across a variety of media types. I was assigned a pair of words (affordance / constraint), representing a concept commonly referenced in the design community.

The project took on two main challenges:
1. How do you use design to effectively communicate a complex concept?
2. How can you make use of the affordances intrinsic to different kinds of media?

The set of words was explored across two media types:
1. Static/Print (image only, text only, and text+image)
2. Time-Based (video only, audio only, and video+audio)
